Readers of Ferret are already aware of the Local Plan 2036 for our area and in particular the extremely negligent way this was approached and subsequently dealt with (or not) by Independent Hemsworth Town Council.

In particular, Ferret feels the way that Mr Jim Kenyon, Chair Independent Hemsworth Town Council and Mr Ian Womersley, District Town Councillor have continually lied to the residents of the Woodlands estate and the proposed development located adjacent to them – LP21.
In a recent meeting held on 13 January 2022 at Hemsworth Community Centre, which had been called for by the residents seeking some answers from Independent Hemsworth Town Council, Mr Ian Womersley responded to a number of questions stating that he didn’t know the answers but that he would find out the answers tomorrow and telephone one of the residents personally to provide them with an update, which they could then share with others.
As expected, Mr Ian Womersley failed to do as he promised, another lie to these residents who deserve so much better from their elected representatives.
The residents maybe in for a long wait, seen as though Mr Ian Womersley has still not answered any of the questions which were sent to him in October 2021.
Maybe Mr Ian Womersley can provide an update:
- Facebook – Oh no, He has removed his Councillor page.
- Surgeries – Oh no, He doesn’t hold them and never has.
- Emails – Oh no, He has confirmed he doesn’t read them.
- Phone Calls – Oh no, He doesn’t phone people back as per above.
Time to RESIGN Mr Ian Womersley…
Absolutely appalling behaviour, how someone can stand there making all those statements, promising to come back to the lady and not is beyond comprehension.
It just shows how very little empathy he’s got for other people, but expected others to show it to him, when he explained what was going off in his private life, so hadn’t read his emails.
The people of woodlands and Springdale will be living in a state of anxiety, so you would expect better from someone that is SUPPOSE to represent them and the wider community.
It’s just one excuse after another, never poor little lan’s fault, then again he isn’t poor or little either. Sounds to me very much how Kenyon deals with issues when challenged. Duck and dive, divert and deflection and when that fails scarper.
