The Never Ending Saga: Lies, Lies, even More Lies and Recorded Meetings…

At the Hemsworth Town Council Meetings held on the 4tth August 2022, we were treated, as usual, to the excuses from the cabal members, that were nothing more than the blatant lies that we have had to endure from them for over 3 years and going back for over 11 years as a community prior to their “election” into office.

Even proven and disgraced Jim Kenyon forgot he was the chair again and tried to divert from the truth to this community, when he claimed they had only recently received the information about the proposed Highfield’s development.

He claimed they had only received them on Friday.

This was immediately rebutted by Councillor Maxine Hird who confirmed they had had them weeks.

He was met with. “Why Lie” from the public.

Ferret and the members of this community know why he lies, it’s a way of life for him, he knows no other way, other than to divert attention from anything asked, to excuse his actions when he is caught out time after time, year on year with lie after lie.

The stalwart of this community sorry cabal, Jean Eccles was also highlighted, when a member of the public asked the following question:

Public – Question to Alan I was called a liar by a councillor. Why isn’t it on zoom?

Jean Eccles – I said if I got it wrong I apologise.

Public – No you didn’t.

Jean Eccles – Send complaint to Alan Draper.

Public – enraged.

Public – You said we can’t mention staffs name but you (Jean) mentioned a full member of staffs name.

Public – You have called me a lair.

Public – You’ve called all people on Ferret SCUM. It’s on video with subtitles. You said SCUM twice. You have refused to apologise. I asked about the car park. You said you didn’t benefit from the car park.

Jean – Move on.

Kenyon – Nothing to do with the Council.

Jean Eccles – Mr ***** thinks he knows my business, he doesn’t. I am nothing to do with AG/GH Groundworks.

Very interesting thinks Ferret, for several reasons:

• Jen Eccles doesn’t seem to know complaints about councillors do not go to the Town Clerk but to the monitoring officer.

Ferret wonders why she would want any complaints about her referring to Alan Draper, of course we all know the answer to that one.

• Why has Alan Draper chosen not to publish the recording?

Especially as we know his official minutes of meetings do not tally with the recorded decisions on occasions.

Even his actions, such as appointing a none qualified accountant instead of a forensic specialist seems to have gone unchallenged by the Councillors.

• Jean Eccles’ claim that she has nothing to do with AG/HG groundworks is contrary to the official documentation on the Governments website where she is listed as:

As for Jean Eccles and husband Gordon, not benefiting from the Farmers car park renovations? Really

Could every person in this community receive the same non-benefit please?

Approximately £4000 wasn’t it? Then there was the work on the watercourse on your property, that this council, sorry community paid for wasn’t there?

And let’s not forget our money spent on repairing the road outside your house, that is owned by Wakefield Council.

As for calling people liars and scum, well it was actually recorded
