Ferret is pleased to see the following item on the agenda for tonight’s meeting:

09 UKRAINE

To consider any support for the Ukrainian people.

The flat at the Waterpark has been the subject of a number of posts, relating to the fact that the tenant, Samantha Knowles has lived there rent free. This is despite her rising very quickly through the ranks at Independent Hemsworth Town Council to the position of “General Manager”, which comes with a very generous salary.

The use of the word “flat” would have most people thinking the accommodation is a small self-contained unit.

Ferret can reveal the flat at Hemsworth Water Park is actually a four bedroomed, two bath roomed property which was previously two properties now converted into one.

Ferret would hope at the very least, that Independent Hemsworth Town Council could offer to house Ukrainian Refuge’s in the three empty bedrooms with the use of their own bathroom and of course free gas, electricity, water and meals from the café…

  1. You’ve all got poor jimmy wrong, all he’s been doing for the last 2 years was housing the homeless and providing her with a good income with no gas electric or water bills to pay. Bless him he’s an hero to do all that, oh just hold on a minute, it was us silly beggars that’s paid for his cosy little love nest wasn’t it. Oh dear Kenyon rumbled again.

  2. Well sorry to say, that the meeting never got far enough to discuss most of the agenda! The Chairman closed the meeting and flounced off. Shame he was given the opportunity to do this. He failed to answer straight questions, but, he took his chance to close the meeting after warning the same person 3 or 4 times about his attitude to the chair. He obviously doesn’t want to answer questions and be accountable, and I’m sorry to say, people fell into his trap tonight! I know emotions are high, but calm is always best when trying to bring people to book. As a result, the chairman was able to cut and run. He of course filibustered his way through a lot of the public question time, and used his “move progress” tactic to avoid stuff he couldn’t answer honestly. Does this Town council meeting have to be rescheduled? as it never really got to the agenda? Are we going to get a public meeting on LP21 etc? Is the re going to be a vote of no confidence in the Chairman? Can an extraordinary Town council meeting be called before Kenyon’s tenure is up? Surely the business which was on this agenda has to be conducted?
