On the 20 April 2020, Independent Hemsworth Town Council purchased a Mobile Catering Trailer.
EDIT: It has been pointed out that this was purchased when we were in a national “Lockdown”. We were unable to visit friends and family, nor funerals of our closet loved ones – Yet Independent Hemsworth Town Council were not only able to make this purchase, but deemed it to be appropriate and a good idea.
Ferret, first of all has to wonder why Independent Hemsworth Town Council needed the Mobile Catering Trailer in addition to the facilities which they already have at the Waterpark inside the Lakeside Café and the outside takeaway.
The catering trailer was purchased from Paul Reather for £9000. Ferret believes this to be a highly inflated price for a catering trailer which required a large amount of money spending on it to enable it to be used.
Luckily for Independent Hemsworth Town Council, Mr Paul Reather’s business is based just outside Independent Councillors Gordon and Jean’s home on Hoyle Mill Road. For those of my readers which are unaware, Mr and Mrs Eccles also own a large amount of land and Industrial units in this area.
Mr Reather’s business is D & P TANK CLEANING SERVICES LIMITED.
Ferret finds it strange that a business who specialises in Industrial Tank Cleaning, just so happened to have a Catering Trailer for sale, at an inflated price and Independent Hemsworth Town Council just happened to buy it…
Beggars belief, beyond words.
What I can’t understand, this was proposed and voted at the council meeting on 5th March 2020.
But the country went into lockdown later on in March, so why did HTC still go ahead with the purchase.
Oh it gets dodgier and dodgier!!!!!
Woudn’t surprise me if it wasn’t already bought and paid for before just like the digger was
its a nice side line earner for them used at bonfire night no out side catering in attendance so we will be seeing this alot ..wonder if they thought of buying a icecream van yet lol
