Over the past few months, Ferret has highlighted to members of our community, that Mr Jim Kenyon Chair – Independent Hemsworth Town Council had been a declared bankrupt during his far from successful life of many different careers.

Some people have quite rightly doubted, that anyone could be so bad, until they have seen the proof themselves.

Ferret has received queries about Jim Kenyon’s “Jim’ll Fix It” venture into the building trade as naturally some people were unaware of its existence. Again, he probably used his own expert advice on his capability, suitability and of course his qualifications to match can probably be located in his loft with his teachers’ certificate.

So here is the definitive proof, extract taken from the London Gazette:

KENYON, James, of and trading at 45 Grove Avenue, Hemsworth,

Pontefract, West Yorkshire WF9 4JB, as Jim Kenyon, as a

General Builder. Court—HIGH COURT OF JUSTICE. Date of

Filing Petition—7th December 1989. No. of Matter—6137 of

1989. Date of Bankruptcy Order—2nd March 1990. Whether

Debtor’s or Creditor’s Petition or Petition after Criminal

Bankruptcy Order—Creditor’s.

  1. So it’s all true, always useless, never learns, words fail me

  2. Once a thief always a thief……once a liar always a liar….once a scumbag always a scumbag….. Remember he even steals from pensioners, he’s never even paid that Hemsworth lady the money the court order him to.

  3. This is why his “bungalow” is in his wife’s name. So when he is was declared bankrupt it couldn’t be taken away. What I don’t get is how he can legally be allowed to be in such a position of power over so much money.

  4. There’s something very strange happening with HTC’s finances, here’s why,
    September’s spend = £519,000
(“How much?!”, I thought. £418,000 of this relates to bank transfers into Alan’s “HTC Investments Account” – so must include some precept monies, but not all of it).
    October’s spend = £16,000
(“Is that all?” I thought. There’s no sign of any wages/salaries and no purchase ledger payments. I don’t think Alan has given us the full picture here – there must be some other entries)
November’s spend = £170,000 (includes another £7,000 towards the Music Festival, even though a review to be held on 28/2/22, and the wages/salaries transfer which was needed in October 21)
And, once again, absolutely no Income figures have been published for 22-23. No transparency there.
All part of the smoke and mirrors tactics I guess – to keep us guessing.
Please can someone on the Finance Committee take a closer look into the Financial Management – a review maybe? It’s not just petty cash.

  5. This man and his followers need to go. How can a bankrupt man be in charge of our council and spending. Surely there is something that can be done. If this man canning loom after his own financial affairs then how can we trust him to look after ours? He NEEDS to go and to go now.
Once he and is followers are out then there needs to be an audit of council monies for the last few years, just as he did on the previous council. Nothing was found then but I’ll be sure something will be found this time!!!
    How can he be trusted!!

  6. theres alot missing off report i cant see what they took from bonfire night in pub on stalls in burger van ..so did all the money outlaid for things not make anything?

  7. It made someone better off just not us, you can’t beat a good old cash sale can you. It’s Mr Draper that should be asking these questions and why haven’t the security hired in noticed anything
