Ferret can confirm, following a search of the Land Registry that Gleeson Regeneration Limited have already purchased two parcels of land adjacent to the former allotment site at Fitzwilliam.

On the Plan shown, the areas marked Pink and Yellow were purchased by Gleeson Regeneration Limited on 22 December 2020.

So, Independent Hemsworth Town Council; Were you aware of this?

If not Why not?

When anyone can search the Land Registry for as little as £3.

Ferret believes now is the time for Independent Hemsworth Town Council to be “Open and Transparent”. Any plans for the former allotments site at Fitzwilliam must be divulged immediately.

Any small amount of credibility you had left is being eroded by the day, have some decency and stop keeping concerned residents in the dark…

  1. Maxine Hird councillor, says the land doesn’t belong to the council!!! She reckons nothing has been decided. Not too sure about that

  2. The Club terrace allotment site does belong to HTC unless already sold, to be fair I believe Maxine is referring to the other land next to it. I’m sure she will be chasing Kenyon and co for answers to what is going on here between them and gleesons and why the good councillors have been kept in the dark about the full dealings they appear to have had over a long period of time. It’s looking bad for Kenyon and anyone else who has had knowledge of these unreported matters to the full council, stinks of malpractice and possible corruption.

  3. Caught out Kenyon, Eccles and anyone else involved is the only explanation here, looks like a police investigation is required here.

  4. This land is where the car boot used to be held purchased by the Bateman brothers when the pit shut. I wouldn’t place much significance on what certain councillor’s say about it because what they are imparting is probably true as to the best of their knowledge. What we need to be concerned about is those among them that impart nothing of the dealings and antics that are discussed among a Very small number of them and then given to the rest of the council either when it’s too late or the decisions have already been sealed (think diggers dumpers rollers legal fees forensic reports etc) there are the ones who need holding to account along with some who enabled them. The cabal yes a very fitting description indeed

I stated the land that has already been sold belonged to bateman enterprise and has been sold
The allotments belonging to HTC have not yet sold
