Readers of Ferret’s post today, may have seen a comment underneath from a Parishioner.

The Parishioner met with Mr Jim Kenyon, Chair Independent Hemsworth Town Council on 26 November 2021, to ask him questions which he had refused to answer in the meeting held in October.

One of the questions asked of Mr Kenyon was, for him to prove He was a qualified teacher. A claim Mr Kenyon has made on numerous occasions including on his official election materials.

Mr Kenyon stated that his teaching certificate was “somewhere in his loft”, but that he was not prepared to find it.

Mr Kenyon then went on to bet the Parishioner £100, that he was indeed a qualified teacher.

Ferret has subsequently confirmed via the Department for Education (DfE) that Mr Kenyon does not hold a teaching qualification and is not registered with them on their database.

Therefore, losing his bet and owing the Parishioner £100.

This morning the Parishioner has requested that Mr Jim Kenyon pay the £100 from the bet he has lost to a Charity such as “Andy’s man Club”.

Andy’s man Club is a peer to peer support group for men. The first meeting is being held at Hemsworth Community Centre on Monday 31 January 2022 (7pm) and then every Monday afterwards.

To make it easier for Mr Jim Kenyon, here is the link to donate the £100 you promised.
