Ferret can confirm that the sale of the former Sports Complex to Saul Construction Limited has been completed earlier today.

This brings to an end the long running costly saga and hopefully allows much needed housing to be built on the site.

Mr Jim Kenyon and his Independent counterparts have continually voted to sanction litigation since taking office in May 2019.

The costs associated with this are expected to be extremely large, money that should not have been wasted pursuing a vendetta, chasing a Kenyon pipe dream.

The full cost to our community will be posted in due course;

Ferret will of course provide further updates as more information becomes available…

  1. Kenyon fails again, no doubt the costs will be high, but if this had carried on, well Ayr would have been nothing in comparison. Thanks ferret for highlighting this Kenyon calamity to us all.

  2. Members of this community who harp on about the lack of football facilities would do well to look and remember the figures and the cost of this futile venture when they are released in due course. I’m in no doubt those very very substantial figures could have provided an immense deal of help to many sectors within our community.we would all of us also do well to remind ourselves never ever again cast a vote for anyone associated with this and the utter disregard and contempt for which they’ve displayed in respect of the precept payer and money that is not theirs. It’s an utter downright disgrace the way this as been handled and they were on a hiding to nothing from day one anyone could see that except those so pig headed they refused to see it and carried on like a madman in a casino. My good god some folk have done very very well out of HTC

  3. This day should have come many years ago. Tens of thousands of pounds of our money wasted! Disgusting behaviour from those who should have been in a position of trust! Lied to over and over again! I feel even now more lies to come to try and excuse this futile fight which was obvious was never going to be won by Jimmy, Ian Womersley, vice chair Stan Wilson and any other hanger on crony! The fact is they lost years ago but have been kicking the can down the road all this time causing delays to prolong the inevitable sale. A statement from the chairman should be published I feel on the HTC website apologising for wasting peoples time and more so money on legal fees…then sign off the statement with a long awaited RESIGNATION!

  4. But but, he would never sell….no wonder he has taken his ball home and is hiding?

  5. Saul homes post on FB saying deal is now complete and confirmed can someone on here get a response from HTC as to what this folly as cost in legal fees.
