In a recent meeting at Hemsworth Town Council, Mr Jim Kenyon – Chair and Mr Alan Draper – Clerk of Independent Hemsworth Town Council offered to meet in private with a member of the public in order to answer his questions.
Both had openly refused to answer his questions in the public question time of a number of meetings, leaving him without any choice but to accept their offer.
Ferret can reveal that the meeting finally took place on Friday 26 November 2021. Mr Kenyon and Mr Draper both refused to allow the meeting to be recorded and also demanded that any notes which were taken during the meeting were not to be published.
During the meeting Mr Kenyon flatly refused to answer any of the questions which had been submitted to the Town Clerk prior.
For the first 20 minutes of the meeting (which Mr Draper stated would be limited to 45 minutes) Mr Kenyon ranted about Ferret and stated that the member of the public had been sent by Ferret to “fire bullets” on Ferret’s behalf.
Mr Kenyon stated that he does hold all of the qualifications which he claims, however “he was not prepared to sift through his attic to find the papers.”
Mr Kenyon was adamant that he does not use social media, however the number of accounts he is currently using on Facebook and him accessing www.hemsworthferet.co.uk via his Samsung mobile phone a number of times a day tells a different story.
Strangely, Mr Kenyon still refused to accept the finding of The Frenkel Report which he commissioned at a cost of £6000 to try and prove his lies about the former Labour Councillors. Mr Kenyon has not apologised for these lies and has stated that he will not do so.
Councillor Jean Eccles was also in attendance and very defensive of “Gordon’s Gate”. Ferret would have thought it was quite obvious that Hemsworth Town Council had no authority to build a gate to block a road they don’t own, Councillor Eccles still seems to think different.
Ferret would like to thank the member of the public for attempting to gain some answers from Councillors Kenyon, Eccles and the Town Clerk on everyone’s behalf.
As expected, they refused and wasted everyone’s time…
Councillor Kenyon certainly used to use social media, before he painstakingly removed every single comment on the hemsworth chat and debating society.
Nothing changes born a liar rotten to the core, that’s the best I can say about him. They all need to to go! resign!
It’s just a shame for him and Ian Womersley that a little pesky ferret painstakingly downloaded all of their comments beforehand, naughty Ferret!

So lets get this straight, they had a meeting 3 to 1 with Kevin. Even though the original point was for clerk to answer questions in private, because somehow the clerk’s previous time on the town council is somehow his “private life”. Through his rantings from Badger alias, Kenyon has been asking Kevin to publish the questions and answers he got in the “meeting” but he and clerk had already demanded no recording of the “meeting” and any notes not be published. So he can’t. How is this all supposed to work? ‘m led to believe that Wakefield council is going to carry out a governance review on HTC and other parish councils. Not sure what this involves, but that must involve some scrutiny by definition surely? I’d urge any HTC operatives who know of any misdeeds to get them out in the open before you get thrown under Jim’s Venga bus! Teflon Jim will not want to take any responsibility himself. I knew nothing of his previous dealings, but when you see what he has done in other places, it’s shocking.
Richard – that’s probably why the 🦡 is trying to get Kevin to publish something so they can issue a solicitors letter. Or maybe ban him from attending meetings.
He can’t publish something that Kenyon refused to answer! Anything else that Kenyon tried to divert with at the meeting, you would think he would publish it himself if it proved he was right!!
Yes Cathy I agree, that’s why none of it ever made sense. I never expected Kevin to get any answers out of them. I sense Jim is getting flustered though because the chickens are coming home to roost for him majorly.
