A short while ago you may remember that licensed premises in South Elmsall owned by Councillor Gordon Eccles, burnt down and was under investigation by the Police because of some suspicious contents that it was found to contain.

Ferret believes those investigations are ongoing so will not comment further.

However, a Police raid has now taken place on another of Councillor Eccles’ properties here in Hemsworth.

The property has stood empty for a number of years, so Ferret was surprised recently that it became fenced around with coincidently, fencing that looked very similar to that Hemsworth Town Council erected around Councillor Eccles’ car park at the old Farmers land at Kinsley.

A quantity of full black sacks were removed by the Police.

Ferret believes the investigation is ongoing and will not comment further at this time…

  1. I wonder if they’re interested in his other properties and maybe his interest in wanting a lift installing in one specific one

  2. Should this be reported somewhere as it doesn’t seem right 2 councillors under investigation should be continuing in office as though nothing has or is happening. These are after all very serious matters.

  3. They should both leave the council while investigations are being done.

If they don’t leave the council voluntary, then there should be a call for them to leave now.

They could be bringing the name of the HTC into bad name! 😂
