For those of my readers that are unaware, Mr Ian Womersley has resigned from his position as an Independent Councillor at Hemsworth Town Council.
As a Councillor, Mr Womersley was perfectly placed to put a stop to the reckless actions of Mr Jim Kenyon, so why would he take the cowards way out by resigning?
Mr Womersley made many boastful posts on his own Facebook account since being elected in 2019.
If he wasn’t boasting about himself, he was praising Mr Kenyon’s actions and actively supporting him to remain as Chair.
This got Ferret thinking – Just what has Mr Womersley achieved since being elected in 2019…
One massive accomplishment has been his support of Kenyon and his vendetta against Saul construction from day one, which is looking increasingly likely to destroy this community and put us into bankruptcy with debts of millions of pounds. Then let’s remember who was the main mover to get our Waterpark put into a “trust” and as we now know not for any benefit to this community but it would have made it very easy to then dispose off to his councillor colleague Eccles. Then as he was a District Councillor also he could have so easily prevented the Eccles’ gate being erected to restrict public access to the waterpark and it being illegally put across the highway entrance. He was also party to the spending of thousands of pounds on Eccles own property. I could go on and on and on . What a man talks so much and delivers nothing for the people that trusted him.
This man has deceived people for so long, it’s a way of life with him. He’s a perfect partner for Kenyon and Eccles’, Wilson, and lackeys. Talk the talk, then walk away, claim victories that other people’s hard work has brought about or as is happening now heading us towards financial ruin. Still he’s ok he still getting paid at Wakefield. So I suppose that is one of his main accomplishments looking after himself.
I totally agree he has took money from the district Councillor post under false pretences. He has one of the worst attendance records, never held surgeries yet is uncontactable, tells people what they want to hear then does a disappearing act. No decent person would have supported Kenyon after he was exposed as the liar he is but he did. Yes it was him that “fronted” the attack on the waterpark. He continued to support Kenyon and his skullduggery until it got too hot for him. It’s time people woke up and saw the reality of womersley, has he achieved anything at all in all the years he’s been a Councillor? Let me know if you know of anything and I’ll then tell you who really did the hard work and it won’t be him. Put him on a steering group you’ve got to be joking. Collectively the football party have achieved nothing and how would you expect to achieve anything when all they do is oppose anything and everything. Sandy gate opposed(now use it). Tesco brought jobs to the area opposed (now use it). Costa/kfc will bring jobs to area opposed it(they’ll use it). Housing former Kirby road complex would bring new housing much needed more precept opposed it. Woodlands proposals took no part in consultations opposed it. Sell land in Fitzwilliam they own which could be used for sports and leisure will be developed all for it. Sell water park could be improved to encompass more sports and leisure facilities all for it sell it no sports and leisure facilities. The football party seem to have a very unhealthy preoccupation with a certain part of Hemsworth
What about answering all those outstanding questions before you pretend to be busy on a steering group. You may have forgotten about them but we never will. That would be an accomplishment. No chance of that is there as you know any lies you put out now are under close scrutiny

Ritchie, Lady Dingle of the Waterpark at the October meeting on 14(?) stated categorically that Gordon & her have never had or have no future plans to acquire the Waterpark.
I’m sure it will be on one of the video footage taken.
But most folks know that was just a lie.
