This is a genuine, heart felt post directed at Mr Jim Kenyon – Chair Hemsworth Town Council.
Ferret has received the following from someone with a medical background, who has been following the ongoing revelations and in particular the conduct and behaviour of one person, going back over ten years as highlighted by articles posted by Ferret.
Narcissistic personality disorder (Narcissism)— is a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others. But behind this mask of extreme confidence lies a fragile self-esteem that’s vulnerable to the slightest criticism.
Symptoms: Mr Kenyon do you have any of the following symptoms:
- Have an exaggerated sense of your own self-importance?
- Have a sense of entitlement and require constant, excessive admiration?
- Expect to be recognised as superior even without achievements that warrant it?
- Exaggerate achievements and talents?
- Are preoccupied with fantasies about success and power?
- Believe you are superior and can only associate with equally special people?
- Monopolise conversations and belittle or look down on people you perceive as inferior?
- Expect special favours and unquestioning compliance with your expectations?
- Take advantage of others to get what you want?
- Have an inability or unwillingness to recognise the needs and feelings of others?
- Are envious of others and believe others envy you?
- Behave in an arrogant or haughty manner, coming across as conceited, boastful and pretentious?
- Insist on having the best of everything?
People with narcissistic personality disorder have trouble handling anything they perceive as criticism:
- Become impatient or angry when you don’t receive special treatment?
- Have significant interpersonal problems and easily feel slighted?
- React with rage or contempt and try to belittle the other person to make themselves appear superior?
- Have difficulty regulating your emotions and behaviour?
- Experience major problems dealing with stress and adapting to change?
- Feel depressed and moody because you fall short of perfection?
- Have secret feelings of insecurity, shame, vulnerability and humiliation?
Mr Kenyon – you have left a trail of disaster all around this country and abroad, seriously damaging people’s lives, health and wellbeing and have left people and communities in serious financial predicaments.
Yet you never learn, simply repeating the same mistakes time after time, over and over again because you can’t be wrong. For your own sake and the people, you are harming, please consider reaching out to a trusted Doctor or Mental Health provider to stop this ever-escalating damage and wrongdoing you are now inflicting on your own community.
Wow wow wow wow wow wow wow. He’s got the symptoms alright, now he needs the diagnosis. But I bet he can’t find one as highly qualified as himself as he diagnosed a former staff member as being healthy at an employment tribunal. So that’s it then he’ll give himself the all clear and then fly into a rage because someone has dared to question his sanity. Lol
To be totally truthful with regard to all this I’m scared. We have a buffoon in charge of our community who is playing pretend and dress up. We as a community are going to be paying for his games for years. Something has to be done and soon to get him removed from his own pedestal that he perceives he is on. His hanger ons who are happy to receive personal gain while he plays god handing out OUR money and assets, which he believes are his to give out. Not only is the country falling apart around us. Our small immediate community is being destroyed by a idiot who will just stand up and move on to another toy box unscathed, whist we suffer the financial consequences..
A little story for you all. I had a friend who was an acquaintance of a young man. He worked for his father. He was scared of him and often confided in my friend telling her about the way his father bullied him and making him work ridiculous hours. He wanted out but was too scared. I think he has escaped his father’s bullying now. You may ask what this has to do with the chair of HTC. Well what I’m saying is the “thing” has no boundaries and even his own family are not safe or exempt from his self belief of his own importance. He’s a liar a cheat a confidence trickster, adulterer and destroyer…. We as a community need to get him and his hanger ons removed from their positions and now. It will be too late too soon if we don’t. Enough said.
Chuffing hell Ferret that’s him to a tee, anybody who knows him will have to agree he needs help. He won’t seek help, because as we all know he can’t be wrong, Mr perfect, Mr knows it all and so on. His “friends” need to step up and remove him from office by refusing to work with him while we still can recover from this disaster on legs, but they won’t, why? Because he’s filling their pockets for them from our community assets. Shameless all of them
He has malignant NPD. There is no cure. Therapy can help but because people suffering from NPD believe that there is nothing wrong with them and it’s others they don’t see why the need to change.
Here lies the problem.
As chair he is kept in that position by supporters. Shall we get out the Hare Psychopathy Checklist and see how all of those in the sociopath category score?
PS just remember fellow ferret readers the comments published by themselves under an article on here and do a comparison against the characteristics of someone suffering NPD or sociopathy….

That does explain it to some extent but responsibility should be shared with all those who support this person as they must recognise he is not of sound mind, being aware of all the damage he has done all his lifetime. He has achieved nothing but destroy the accomplishments of others. Can anyone name one good thing he has achieved? He wasn’t even voted into position yet his lackeys made him chair of the council, and vote for all his senseless and imbocilic schemes that see our money being given to his councillor mates. Petty cash used like confetti and jobs for the boys and girls once again paid for in cash. He’s obviously ill or evil, probably both. So what are you councillors Womersley etc. explain your actions, if you can or are you all a chip off the Kenyon block and rotten to the core.
Totally agree he can only cause the destruction he does because others support him. My question is.. why? do they have the same low morals? did they seen ££ signs when the fool started spouting? Therefore making them no better if not worse than him. Or are they being bullied into backing him.
