Ferret has questioned before, the large amounts of food and drink being ordered by Samantha Knowles and Independent Hemsworth Town Council for use at the Lakeside.
In a previous post, Ferret disclosed that in December 2022 a total of £4827.71 was spent on food alone.
Ferret is now able to disclose the obscene amount of money spent by Independent Hemsworth Town Council in January and February 2023.
January 2023: £4,938.44
February 2023: £5102.32
Once again, Ferret bets someone has had a feast, and it certainly wasn’t the scum of our community…
Absolutely ridiculous, just where is it all going, this is another thing that needs investigation.
Almost £10,000 spent of the communities precept money in only 2 months on food for the Lakeside cafe this is totally unbelievable.The footfall is definitely not there to warrant such a large expenditure on food especially as we are informed about the huge loses the lakeside cafe is producing .The Community as agreed by council need the accounts displaying on the very long awaited for NOTICEBOARDS so everyone not on social media can see and judge for themselves how their precept money is being spent.The Town Clerk also needs to be producing profit accounts against these large food expenditure amounts let the community who is paying for it see the wastage and not just the food wastage.
