Well, anyone who was hoping that the replacing of Mr Jim Kenyon as Chair, would bring about much needed changes to Independent Hemsworth Town Council has seen their hopes smashed into pieces already.
Multi-millionaire Mrs Jean Eccles claims that because she had paid about £1000 back to Hemsworth Town Council she had actually done us all a huge favour and we should be grateful for all that she has bestowed upon us.
What she neglected to say was that the work on the Farmers car park owned by her and her husband Gordon, who is also a Councillor, had cost us over £4000 pounds, additionally there was the work carried out on clearing their waterway, that as owners of the adjacent land they were responsible for and let’s not forget the private rubbish collection service, once again at our expense.
These are just some of the things already exposed and Ferret believes there will more to follow.
Jean also has a novel idea that requires she does not need to go to meetings with our District Councillors, nor to PACT meeting with the Police on our behalf and it’s a beauty:
The District Councillors and members of the public who do attend these should report back to her!
Well of course, why wouldn’t they?
They should be more considerate and not expect the lady of the Waterpark to trouble herself with such mundane actions as meetings and Council business on behalf of this Community.
Oh and Ferret nearly forgot we’ve already had a repeat of the word scum for a section of our Community that dares to challenge and expose all that is wrong with Independent Hemsworth Town Council.
Still never mind Jean, have you had any thoughts about asking for a “Royal Yacht” to sail on that long sought after lake that you now control access to, instead of that lift in the sixties pub?
Just imagine, regally waving to the adoring community from the crow’s nest with Gordon at your side, while the Jolly Roger with the impressive skull and crossbones, flutters in the wind from the highest mast.
Then again why not ask for both and don’t forget an eye patch…

She deserves to be told nothing if she can’t be bothered to attend meetings herself!! Who does she think she is? Most of them need to be gone at the next elections.
