Ferret was intrigued, to say the least when looking through the January 2022 accounts for Independent Hemsworth Town Council.
The final entry was for four separate invoices paid to a company called Your Choice Fire and Security Limited totalling £3827.23
Ferret is unable to share with my readers what this payment was for as Independent Hemsworth Town Council have chosen to redact that information.
A search on companies house revealed that the director of the company was called Jason Craig Begg.
That name sounded familiar to Ferret, just where has his name appeared before in relation to Independent Hemsworth Town Council…
His name sounded familiar to Ferret, as this is the man who Independent Hemsworth Town Council employed as “project manager” in the deconstruction of the “free” farm building / storage unit.
The same man who subsequently alerted Independent Hemsworth Town Council to the asbestos that was contained in the building, which then cost us thousands of pounds for it to be removed.
Delving further back into the accounts Ferret was able to locate a number of payments being made to Mr Begg’s company.
Ferret would therefore like to ask Mr Alan Draper, Clerk – Independent Hemsworth Town Council the following questions:
- How was Mr Begg recruited by Independent Hemsworth Town Council to project manage the not so free farm building / storage unit?
- How much did Independent Hemsworth Town Council pay Mr Begg?
- Why does Independent Hemsworth Town Council feel the need to hide from the members of our Township, where exactly their money is being spent?
And finally:
- Which local prominent business person is Mr Begg related to…
The stench arising from that place is overpowering. I can only say one thing to my fellow parishioners please never ever allow this thing to happen again we’ve all been conned on a grand scale and somewhere down the line it’s us that’ll have to foot the bill. Had they any decency about them they’d do the right thing and piss off into the sunset and never return they’ve brought shame on this township utter shame
So he will be a friend of a friend, a relation of a relation no doubt. I’d reckon there was no quotes gained, it’ll have been a ‘I know someone’ conversation. It’s very strange how JCB is a fire safety officer, asbestos expert!
Being new to Kinsley (Nov 2019) can I ask if the local MP has been made aware of these allegations and what actions are Wakefield MDC taking.
