Ferret wonders if Independent Hemsworth Town Council still do or if they have done away with these also….
What is a DBS Check?
A basic DBS check is a criminal record check that you can request for yourself.
You may also be asked to request a basic check by your employer.

Ferret finds it strange that Independent Hemsworth Town Council publishes Councillors “Register of Interests” on its website, but doesn’t disclose the criminal convictions of some of its Councillors.
Ferret can confirm that some of the Councillors at Independent Hemsworth Town Council have a worryingly large number of criminal convictions.
Would any of the Councillors like to publish theirs?
as councillors do mix with vulnerable groups I am really surprised that they are not done automatically on election or even to stand for election. I agree we should be able to see if the councillors we elect are fit and proper people to be mixing at times with the children, elderly and other groups that could be potentially at risk
