Ferret would like to remind readers that Independent Hemsworth Town Council have installed a gate to restrict YOUR access to YOUR Waterpark.

This gate is situated next to Councillors’ Gordon and Jean Eccles’ home.

Ferret finds it strange that Hemsworth Town Council are allowed to place a gate on WMDC land without any form of planning permission.

Even more astonishing is the fact that Councillor Eccles is the key holder, so can lock YOU out of the Waterpark at will.

Whilst looking into this, Ferret became aware that not only had Independent Hemsworth Town Council voted to allow this to happen, Councillor Eccles had also encroached land, which further restricts YOUR access to YOUR Waterpark.

If you look at the attached plan. The red line shows the land which should form the access road for you to gain entry to YOUR Waterpark.

The blue line shows the land which Councillor Eccles has taken to make his property larger.

He may deny knowledge of this, but when building a new boundary wall most people would not enclose the street lamps in your newly enlarged yard – Councillor Gordon Eccles did.

  1. So here it is, the proof, the date on this plan validates the claims that Eccles has long coveted the waterpark. By stealing this land from wmdc, our community, he not only greatly enlarged his own property but gave himself a stranglehold over our land, the waterpark. This man and his wife are now Hemsworth councillors who now control an access gate to our park on wmdc land. No guesses for how this is planned to end.

  2. So has/can this be reported to Wakefield planning department if this is Wakefield land?

  3. It does make you wonder if councillor Gordon has someone at Wakefield in his pocket as I think this has been reported in the past and it always goes away ! If it goes unchallenged for a certain length of time then i feel sure he can legally claim it as his own! Thus creating a narrow entrance into the Waterpark and a strip of land some may call a “ransom strip” Also take a look at the Farmers car park…it appears to me that he has taken a strip of land there too !! Oh and study the boundaries at his new “coffee shop” venture at kirkbygate which could be a hat trick of encroaching. A new meaning to grab n go !

  4. The depths that this cabal reaches staggers the imagination. No wonder they’ve hidden everything and gone to ground. Even Womersley, ex policeman, obe what a joke. Bet we’ve heard nothing yet. Kenyon and co lifetime of practice at this, disgraceful the lot of them and how they called the last lot. They even believed their own lies and got an expert in to prove them guilty. Stupidity when he found nothing but cost us £6000. Time we had a forensic expert in on this team, it’ll cost more than 6 grand this time, they’ll be kept very busy

  5. i noticed the car park has taking the plot of land at side of what use to be farmers …short cut to school and way to enter the backs of houses on front … use to be a bench at front for people to sit on a coucil bench …… so i persume this piece of land was put up for sale by hemsworth town council or like you said gordon as just took it has his ….

  6. Well some buggars wrong they both can’t be right either the council put the lamps on his property or he built his wall on council land simple as. At the very least I’d have thought that prior to building the wall he’d have consulted the council if he thought there was a issue as to the boundary between them which could have been sorted very easily by council surveyors and his own surveyor. The council have a statutory obligation to maintain street lightings so to maintain those lights they need access either they’re within their right to do so or they’re committing trespass. Are street lighting and the highway department aware of this?

  7. Ha ha. If only it was easy to contact him on fb and if only he answered his emails quickly and if only he sounded as if he was interested when he does answer his emails. I only found out he had deactivated his fb when I tagged him in a post and someone told me he was only contactable on his email.

  8. Yes Ferret perhaps he could if anyone can find him now ! He may not be aware of it ?🙈..or maybe the town clerk or chairman could add it for discussion at the next meeting…as they may be not aware of it either ?🙉 It does involve Hemsworth Water Park after all .Shall we wait for a reply from any of them ? 🙊

  9. Maybe we should report the street lights not working and then sit back and see what happens?? 🤔😉

  11. Worse still has the Town Council aided and abetted in the stealing of this land at the farmers by paying for and having the fence erected for Eccles.

  12. just looked on google earth …0ne lamp post in garden 2019 …cant find pic on here but sure theres another 2 in his yard now ..question if they werent there in 2019 who paid for them to be erected in his garden and does he pay the bill for electric

  13. google earth google map …google map 2019 google earth dont say year one lamp post diffrent place alot smaller in size as well deffo been added to .google cant lie …

  14. The facts still remain that Eccles are using the wp as their own business
Again no one is questioning why they are running the wp yet paying their friend to be General manager
Why family have been given jobs when trusted long term employees have been hounded out
Tenders that have been there for over 20 yrs forced out so they can do the business themselves
With cash only payment on some things at the park
Again people need to be asking these questions and drawing the truth out

  15. through f.o.i.a i ascertained that htc paid for the development at a cost of £3,058.75 eccles supplied the fence htc received £208 from bonfire night 2019, with all the evidence against them surely there is someone we can approach to see if we can get shut of these charlatans before they bankrupt us they are totally out of control i would gladly volunteer to be the one to report them and go up against this cyrony fiddling lawless cabal
