Further to my post yesterday I feel it is extremely important to share with my readers some more information which has come to light.

Lyn Morton has been very diligent in her questioning of Independent Hemsworth Town Council and in particular, Mr Ian Womersley of his/their intention to give away YOUR Waterpark and to place it into a trust.

She asked Mr Ian Womersley for more information about his proposals for YOUR Waterpark.

To quote Lyn herself:

“The motion is to put the land in trust for ever for the people of this community so that it can never be sold to any individual, or company, and to include no covenants. Mr Draper (Clerk) was instructed to get all details and costs so that it can be progressed.”

Lyn then asked:

“How would the trusteeship work? Who would the trustees be, a law firm?”

And Mr. Ian Womersley responded:

“I will let you know when Mr Draper reports back.”

Which Lyn took to mean that Ian was himself unsure of how to go about securing the future of the Waterpark, and was relying on the Town Clerk to investigate the options for him. Lyn was somewhat dubious about this, given the state of the investigation into the buried waste at the waterpark that was carried out by that same Town Clerk.

So, Mr Ian Womersley had made a proposal to his colleagues at Hemsworth Town Council to give away YOUR Waterpark and he had absolutely no idea what this meant!

In another post, Lyn reveals that Mr Jim Kenyon and his Independent Colleagues have decided that they need a new access road to enable them to host the Venga Boys’ concert. This is the Concert which is the vanity project of Mr Jim Kenyon that will potentially cost YOU over £80000.

“…and more trees are to be removed to put in another gate where the dropped kerb is on Wakefield Road, after they started building the entry road at the very top of the park and then decided that it was too much effort to apply to get a dropped kerb there…”

More incompetence from Mr Jim Kenyon and his Independent colleagues.

If you want a genuine, honest, hardworking Councillor – who is not afraid to challenge Mr Kenyon and Mr Womersley, please take Ferrets advice and vote for Lyn Morton – Green Party tomorrow.

  1. I wish Lyn the best of luck for tomorrow and hope she is successful and becomes one of HTC councillors.

  2. I wish Lyn all the best. She has her own mind and she will be no one’s lackey. All power to Lyns elbow.
