In 2019 a number of people stood for election as Independent Candidates.

Every single one of them received funding from “Hemsworth Community Forum”.

Hemsworth Community Forum has now been confirmed by Mr Jim Kenyon (Chair of Independent Hemsworth Town Council) as:

• A group that was formed in 2009 to oppose the disposal of the Sports Complex.
• A group based at the Top Hat Public House.
• A group whose Chair is Stan Wilson – (Vice Chair of Independent Hemsworth Town Council)
• A group that runs under a constitution.
• A group that pays subscriptions.
• A group that has a bank account.
• A group with Eric Mitchell (Independent Councillor Hemsworth Town Council) as its’ treasurer.
• A group whose members decided to stand as candidates in the 2019 election.

So Why did this GROUP decide to label themselves as INDEPENDENT candidates in 2019?

Will we ever get a written response to our questions submitted to Independent Hemsworth Town Council and Mr Kenyon from the meeting held on 12 October 2021?

  1. independent my backside its a political cabal formed with the intention of attacking the labour party members are full blown narcissist the cabals mantra of a bent labour htc was just foreshadowing of what was to come meach manifesto forged by hateful rhetoric and bare faced lies they need removing from office and band for life for ever standing again, dont give me that- they are not all like that they are they all can see what’s happening and do nothing they are enablers who are just as bad

  2. And some are totally independent and want to make our community a better place.

  3. That’s good to hear, this is the time they need to step forward and show it to save our community
