Ferret has previously posted about Independent Hemsworth Town Council moving the fencing at Wannaville Allotments at the end of First Avenue in Fitzwilliam.
Mr Jim Kenyon – Chair, Independent Hemsworth Town Council declared this “car park” as the only thing that he could think of in his two and half years in charge that he had provided for the residents of Fitzwilliam.
Unfortunately, not only was the car park poorly constructed by “Jim’ll fix it”, it was not requested by the School nor the residents.
The car park was also deemed a danger from day one by the School and was reported to Mr Draper, Clerk to the Council.

Luckily in this case both the driver and the child were alert and an accident was averted.
There have been a number of “near misses” since the decision was taken by Mr Jim Kenyon to move the fencing, for reasons known only to him.
In the Leisure and Recreation meeting held on the 6th January 2022 the “car park” was on the agenda. Independent Hemsworth Town Council “resolved that WMDC Highways be asked to confirm if it is their land”.
Ferret fails to understand why Hemsworth Town Council would need to do this, surely Mr Jim Kenyon did due diligence prior to moving the fence which has been there for at least 15 years….
