Mr Jim Kenyon – Chair Independent Hemsworth Town Council has on a number of occasions stated that he holds numerous qualifications and has held various positions throughout his career.
One such qualification he stated he held on his recent election leaflet:
“I am qualified in the building industry and was a teacher at Barnsley College of Technology”
As most people know, teachers have to go through rigorous training which lasts for a minimum of three years usually at a University before becoming qualified.
Once this is finished they are then provided with their teacher reference number.
Having searched the national database, Ferret can find no reference to Mr Jim Kenyon ever becoming a qualified teacher.
Ferret would therefore make this statement:
MR JIM KENYON – CHAIR INDEPENDENT HEMSWORTH TOWN COUNCIL IS A LIAR AND HE IS NOT A QUALIFIED TEACHER.
Ferret looks forward to Hemsworth Town Council issuing a correction in due course….
Blatantly lying to mislead the electorate, must be resignation time , only acceptable way to resolve this disgraceful situation.
Totally unacceptable to make false claims and allegations to enhance your standing and support within the community, l agree only one acceptable way that this is dealt with and that’s with resignation. S o Mr Kenyon resign now you have had more than long enough to prove your claims.
People of a craft/trade background (with recognised qualifications) can become teachers at local college after undergoing the appropriate training and qualifications to teach. So in reality you’re talking not about having just a teaching qualification but a craft/trade qualifications signifying the apprenticeship served ie bricklayer,plumber,joiner etc not just Bob the builder I’ve done a bit of everything
Kenyon will not resign, so what are people’s thoughts on calling for a parish poll for a referendum on his removal to be held. We would need to call for a parish meeting and have it done through that. We could even give him a deadline to produce evidence to substantiate his lies sorry claims, of perhaps one week if he doesn’t produce the required evidence then proceed with the vote with the electoral office. I realise that this is still not binding on him to resign but the publicity which probably go far and wide through the country may prevent this person from taking up any type of office or working any more of his schemes elsewhere.

Obviously a lie as it would be so easy for him to produce the necessary paperwork to prove the authenticity of this claim. Anyone who makes a claim to the people they are representing should be held accountable. This has been ongoing for some time now and Kenyon refusing to answer and obviously hoping it will go away is not acceptable. You’ve claimed it now provide the proof.
Known Kenyon a long time since being teenagers, there’s no way he’s qualified to teach, he was never in any job long enough, as for education he knew it all even back then so didn’t need it. As a lad bit of plastering, artexing maybe, but didn’t stay long at that, too much like work and he made some bodge and run jobs then. He’s never altered, knows everything but knows and is capable of nothing. He can talk a good job then as they say bodge it and scarper.
Well…there seems to be one thing the chairman is good at…and thats making up new facebook accounts…first there was Jim Kenyon…then Kerry Cole…then Janet Bower…then Hemsworth Badger and now the newly formed Harold Badger.. whatever next ???

Not enough public anger yet, most don’t even know what’s happening as it’s not advertised far enough. Could do with Saul or other local business owners funding a leaflet drop with all the council lies he’s a party to.
