Ferret is appalled, but not surprised to read that three of our Labour Councillors at Independent Hemsworth Town Council have been subjected to horrific levels of abuse via email during the weekend.
Labour Councillors, Shaun Middleton, Donna Moran and Maxine Hird have been singled out with abusive lies, threats and clear breaches of Data Protection.
Not content with this, members of our Parish have also fallen victim to the same member of the cowardly cabal.
What were they guilty of?
They had provided statements to Mr Alan Draper as they witnessed the torrent of abuse Mr David Pringle, the husband of cabal Councillor Linda Pringle, subjected our Labour District Councillor, Melanie Jones to.
Ferret wonders if it was Mr Draper or Mr Pringle that has breached Data Protection by sharing these statements with the Cabal Councillor?
Please remember that these good honest Councillors receive no renumeration for the time and effort they put into these roles.
To be subjected to lies, threats and name calling is dreadful.
As we get closer to May 2023 and the election of 15 new Councillors to Hemsworth Town Council, is this going to become more widespread?
Do the Cabal, think that this will stop the good honest people of our communities putting themselves forward to stand against them?
Ferret would hope it has the opposite result.
