Energy prices are soaring, well for some of us at least but not for all, Ferret believes.
What do you mean? You may ask.
Some people it seems have only to make a contribution towards their Gas and Electric bills to their employer.
Who is this lucky person, who is this generous employer; it must surely be an energy supplier looking after their workers after all they are rolling in it?
It’s none other than Independent Hemsworth Town Council and the employee is their manager of everything, Sam Knowles.
It will come as no surprise to our community that this person is not being charged the proper rates for energy for their own use but only asked to make a contribution.
Ferret finds this very hard to understand because this is on top of the other perks she enjoys such as flat decoration assistance and electronic toys to name but two minor ones.
It is especially surprising that this is allowed as Ferret understands the 4 bed roomed flat has its own meters installed so accurate billing should easily be attainable.
So who is subsidising this well paid employee of Hemsworth Town Council while members of this community struggle to meet their ever rising bills?
None other than us, the community, the precept payers of course.
