This week will hopefully see the balance of power taken away from the Independent Cabal at Hemsworth Town Council.
If members of the South Ward elect someone other than Mark Colpus, this would mean the Independent Cabal would have 7 Councillors and our good Councillors would total 8.
Why is this important?
Quite simply, it would mean the Independent Cabal would no longer be able to vote through unopposed everything that the want to – which has happened since May 2019.

The very same Saul Construction Limited, that Mr Jim Kenyon and the “Independents” wasted hundreds of thousands of pounds of your money on litigation against over the last three years.

This election is critical – If we are able to add one more Councillor to our existing “Good” Councillors, the “Independent Cabal” will finally lose their hold on our Community...
Well here’s the rub. The community can’t complain about the conduct in office and voting by Cabal members if it puts another one onto the Council. Its time to start putting it right… Right now!

Totally agree,the community needs to vote very wisely and vote for a community councillor who will listen and work for the community and not themselves.A councillor who can be trusted to serve their ward and will act on their behalf and not on their own agendas.Time now to vote for someone who will respect the community and not be a YES hand waver and work with the decent hard working councillors to bring back the true values and trust that this community needs and deserves.Please turn out to vote in the south ward your votes really will make a difference and hopefully the right new councillor will be elected to serve us it’s up to the parishioners to help make change use your voices at the meetings and please use your VOTE VERY WISELY.
Well Julie, it seems the good people are listening and they can see for themselves how it’s being going (down the pan)0in terms of finances and democracy over the last 3 years. Maybe we won’t now be buying as many Tonka Toys, tents etc. Maybe common sense will stop them from causing a catastrophe by holding welding sessions in a marque! And maybe.. Just maybe they will consider fully the laws and principles applying to governance. It’s a long road back from where HTC has been, but first steps taken.
