Ferret finds it hard to understand why Independent Hemsworth Town Council continues to advertise on Facebook.
Previously, you may recently recall seeing advertisements on Facebook for “The Vengaboys” concert, the ill fated thought out brainchild of Mr Jim Kenyon – Chair, Independent Hemsworth Town Council.
This was the last ditch attempt to sell more than the 300 tickets which is all they had managed to sell in the previous two and a half years.
Ferret can reveal that this spending was NOT authorised by the Councillors and no vote took place prior to the advertisements being placed.
The total cost in the February accounts is £69.47, which would amount to £833.64 per year.
Ferret has to wonder if the current advertisements being shown were authorised either…
