The Chair of Independent Hemsworth Town Council, Jim Kenyon informed the Town Council meeting on the 3rd of February 2022 that the Kirkby Road contract was now completed with Saul Construction Limited. He went on to say:
“We paid £30k to residents for knotweed and trees to residents”.
We have all learnt not to accept anything that comes from Kenyon’s mouth as being true or anywhere near the truth and once again Ferret being Ferret felt the need to check the contract of sale of the Kirkby Road site between Hemsworth Town Council and Saul Construction Limited, that Mr Kenyon likes to boast that he obtained.
Unfortunately for him, it looks like he failed to read it, but then again if you know it all why bother? but if he had read it, he would have clearly seen the responsibility for any remedial work fell to the developer.

Also, in a recent freedom of information request dated the 4th February 2022, the Town clerk Mr Alan Draper released figures as below:
The total legal costs in respect of the former sports complex from May 2019 to date are £135.244.92.
There was also an associated hotel cost of £294.50
There have also been costs regarding knotweed management to which to date are £2.244.60
So, Mr Kenyon please explain this huge difference in what you have told residents at a Town Council meeting to the information released by the Town Clerk and also why have you paid out our precept payers money on something that was the responsibility of the developer to pay?

Does this man know the meaning of the word “truth”. There’s obviously something seriously wrong in his head as his self belief is sky high whereas his ability is zero. There’s obviously something wrong with those that listen to and support him when he is being constantly exposed as a lying incompetent.
