Car Parking has always been free for the Precept payers of Hemsworth, Kinsley and Fitzwilliam at the Waterpark.
A permit was supplied by the Labour run Hemsworth Town Council which allowed Precept payers to not only park for free but also gave free entry into Playworld.
Anybody else from outside the area, who wanted to use YOUR facilities which YOU paid for, had to pay both to park and an entrance free for their children to gain access to Playworld.
This raised around £30,000 per year.
Shortly after being elected in May 2019, Independent Hemsworth Town Council made the bold statement that the were to ABOLISH car parking charges at the Waterpark.
