Members of our Township will no doubt be aware of the excellent Football facilities which were developed under the previous Labour led Hemsworth Town Council.
This includes the facilities at Sandygate and Cemetery Road in Hemsworth.
At the Town Council meeting 16 June 2022 a question was asked of Independent Hemsworth Town Council regarding the possibility of accommodating rugby.
Mr Jim Kenyon was first to respond, flatly refusing any possibility of any other sport than football being accommodated by Independent Hemsworth Town Council.
This is the same Mr Jim Kenyon who forfeited the £300,000 section 106 Sports Contribution from Saul Construction Limited as part of the sale of the former Sports Complex on Kirkby Road in Hemsworth.
Just think of the facilities for other family sports and activities which could have been made available with this amount of money…
Well, why should we expect anything like inclusion, diversity and equal opportunities (to participate in sports of choice) from HTC Cabal?!
