On a number of occasions in the past Mr James (Jim) Kenyon has openly accused the former Labour led Hemsworth Town Council of “fiddling”.
Ferret looked the meaning of “fiddling”up in the dictionary:
“Fiddling is the practice of getting money dishonestly by altering financial documents”.
On all of the Independent Candidates Manifestos’ prior to the election in 2019 they stated:
“We will conduct a Scientific Audit of this LABOUR Council and former Town Clerk to see where your money has GONE over the last 15 years.”
Once elected, the Chair of Independent Hemsworth Town Council instructed a London based firm of chartered accountants by the name of “Frenkels Chartered Forensics” to conduct an audit.
Ferret has searched high and low on the Hemsworth Town Council website but has been unable to locate a copy of this report.
What Ferret did find though, was the cost of the report in the July 2019 budget. The sum of £6000 was paid by BACS 1342 on the 26th of July 2019.
Although the conclusion of the report remains unpublished; Ferret can confirm that Frenkels Chartered Forensics found nothing at all wrong with the financial accounting of the previous Labour Led Hemsworth Town Council.
