Ferret would like to say a massive THANK YOU to each and every ‘ferret’ within our community who have contributed to Hemsworth Ferret since 26 July 2021.

Every comment, share and like from you, has contributed to the demise of the ‘cabal’.

The cabal have targeted many people since May 2019, in their campaign to hide their wrongdoings, to enable them to hold on to control and misuse our money and their positions of trust within Hemsworth Town Council.

It has been distressing for the people concerned, but the ‘cabal’ did not count on the grit and determination of the people of this community to withstand the vile oppression aimed at stifling freedom of speech.

Ferret will highlight one of our councillors who, even before her election, was determined to expose and oppose the Kenyon regime and that is Councillor Maxine Hird.

Maxine’s vocal and active opposition has meant that she became a target for their retribution and target her they did, both inside the council, at her home and in the wider community.

They obviously did not know Maxine well enough, their attacks although upsetting, made her stronger and more determined to rid our council of these obnoxious people.

Special thanks are sent to Maxine.

It would be remising of Ferret not to mention that throughout this dreadful period, the many faithful and loyal staff that were hounded out of their jobs.

These people were loyal and good and should not be considered the same as Draper and Knowles, the senior employees.

Ferret would hope that these people could be considered if and when any vacancies may occur in the future.

There are the staff that remained, also good hardworking people, who were the subject of abuse at work and on social media after refusing to carry out instructions they knew were wrong.

They gritted their teeth and stuck it out, hopeful of a day when change would come.

That day is nearly here: 4th May 2023, when a total of fifteen good and decent individuals take up office as Councillors.

Ferret looks forward to the new Councillors working together to make our community a better place to live in.

However, it must not be underestimated the hard work which lies ahead for the new Councillors.

Every aspect of business conducted by Independent Hemsworth Town Council, must be reviewed including all contracts which they have awarded.

Ferret is sure the new Councillors will work diligently together, making the difficult decisions and ensuring action is taken where required.

All Ferret (and our community) ever asked for, from our Councillors was the ‘openness’ and ‘transparency’ which we were promised back in 2019 by the Independents.

Unfortunately, it never materialised

In fact, we received the opposite, even from the Town Clerk – Alan Draper.

Moving forward, Ferret would now like to add the word ‘honesty’ as an expectation and a hope that the new Councillors will strive to reflect the views of the people they represent.

As Winston Churchill said “Those that fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it”.

To this end, Ferret will ensure the www.hemsworthferret.co.uk website remains live.

The misdemeanours of the ‘scum’ that have decimated our communities for the last four years will remain available in perpetuity.

They know what they have done and so do we.

Finally, Ferret has nothing more to say other than, once again, THANK YOU everyone.

The Ferret Team sends you all a fond farewell…

A big thank you for your tireless work and conviction to exposing the wrongdoings of certain individuals aided and abetted by others, but I fear your work is not complete PLEASE stay live to keep us informed of any proceedings that have or going to be investigated .
