Councillor Eric Mitchell is a member of the “Cabal Independent Party” that have been in control of Hemsworth Town Council for the last 3 years.
As previously reported, he is a long-time associate of Jim Kenyon and the treasurer of the group that the Cabal Independents are based from.
He is a man in a similar vain of Vice Chair of the Cabal led Independent Hemsworth Town Council, Stanley Wilson, saying very little if anything at all in the Town Council meetings.
Both usually remain silent until it’s time to put up their hands and vote exactly as their leaders demand.
In the Town Council meeting of 14 July 2022, when discussing the sale of the massive loss making “plant machinery”, after the decision had been made to try and recoup as much money as possible for our community, what did Eric have to contribute to the discussion?
It was basically short and succinct. With one giant effort, akin to the force that lies flow from his great leaders mouth, he said
“I’m so glad you don’t look after my finances, with no business planning”
Hooray thought Ferret, has he finally realised?
Has the loss of nearly £20000 cash and the enormous running costs and remedial work being needed finally awakened him from his robotic state?
Is he now going to find his voice?
