What provision has Independent Hemsworth Town Council made for children with additional needs in Playworld?
That’s right – NONE.
Despite the fact Independent Hemsworth Town Council, led by Jean Eccles has wasted over £2 million of YOUR money since 2019, Playworld and the wider Waterpark has received little to no investment.
Ferret is therefore extremely pleased to see that Independent Hemsworth Town Council have placed the following on the agenda at the Leisure and Recreation meeting to be held on 23 June 2022.

Ferret has to hope that finally, our Town Council will ensure Playworld becomes an inclusive environment for ALL of our children…
All parks should provide accessibility to play equipment for disabled children they are the future of our community and deserve equal rights in every aspect of their day to day living.They should be able to play and join in with their siblings and family and not have to be strapped in a chair unable to have fun because our Independent run Town council would prefer to spend thousands of pounds of our precept money on pointless projects and pop concerts instead of providing what the community wants and needs and especially our disabled children.Good on the lady who brings this up at council meetings keep at them and ask at the meeting on Thursday if they have seen the huge campaign shown on Calendar and Look North being done by a very special little boy Tobias Weller from Sheffield who is fighting councils to put play equipment in all parks so all children can play together may be he could attend the HTC meeting see if they would listen to him and learn from him and even bring the press if it is not passed and sorted ,but as people are saying elections are forth coming and votes will count .
