Ferret has been asked to share with our readers that there is a meeting regarding LP1511, which is the land at the top of Highfield Road in Hemsworth.

This includes the current football pitches and beyond. Wakefield Council intend to include this land for future housing.

Wakefield Council’s service manager for planning, Mr Neville Ford will attend a public meeting in the main hall at Hemsworth Community Centre from 5pm – 6pm to provide clarity about the Pre-Main Modifications consultation in respect of the land at Highfield Road, Hemsworth (LP1511).

Ferret has to wonder why Independent Hemsworth Town Council suddenly seem interested in “Local Plan” after badly letting down our residents with respect to LP21 and the land adjacent to the Woodlands estate in Hemsworth.

Readers may remember that Mr Ian Womersley and Mr Jim Kenyon both lied to residents when questioned about their knowledge of the “Local Plan”.

Even worse, the Town Clerk – Mr Alan Draper, who earns in excess of £50,000 and should be fully aware of everything within the Parish admitted to not reading his emails.

Ferret stands with all our local residents with regards to “Local Plan” and hopes that finally our Independent Town Council have woken up, read their emails and will also support our residents in this ongoing issue…

  1. A huge Thankyou to Ferrett and our ward councillor Maxine Hird and our MP Mr Jon Trickett for all their support they continue to give the residents of Springvale Rise,Woodlands regarding LP21 and shame on the Independants councillors and Town Clerk Mr Alan Draper for their total lack ,total deceit, and total not interested in raising any objections regarding LP21 .We need to fight all the proposed plans under 2036 as a full community ,this community deserves better than an Independant council that cares only about themselves but suddenly as the community start to pull together they try to make amends by calling a public meeting with Neville Ford in tow wonder how many Independant councillors will attend wonder how many Independant councillors will be able to ask questions on behalf of the residents Not Many if the previous meetings are anything to go on some of them have not got a clue even admitting it on record and even admitting the residents were left in the dark because they didn’t read the vital emails but now the community know and are reading daily what’s going on and are fighting back, all of us have a voice use it question everything they are doing attend meetings remember this is our community we have the rights on how it’s run ,how our precept money is spent, councillors are answerable to the community make your vote and voice count.

  2. Exactly as Julie said,
I think more of the community are aware of what a shambles Our councillors are making of OUR locality.

They will never resign, let’s just hope some people stand against them in the next elections and they don’t get elected in.
